Welcome to the first in a series of regular updates on our Clubhouse Redevelopment.
Since our successful application for Sports Capital funding we have been heavily engaged in a number of activities including:
Tax Deductions for Donations to the Clubhouse Redevelopment
Completion of our application to the Revenue Commissioners to have the redevelopment of the clubhouse treated as an approved project that can benefit for tax relief for donations to the Club. This involved getting the Club approved as a qualifying sports body with Revenue, and then getting the clubhouse redevelopment accepted as an approved project by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media. This will allow businesses who donate specifically to the project to avail of a tax deduction on such contributions. Many thanks to Ronan Collopy our club Treasurer for his extensive efforts in getting this key part of our funding infrastructure in place.
Fundraising Brochure
With the help of Dave Nutley, club PRO, and Brian Leonard, we have produced an online brochure that aims to highlight the critical role the club plays in our community and to attract businesses and individuals who would like to financially support the club with our redevelopment project. Take a look at the brochure at Baldoyle Redevelopment Brochure Please share with businesses or individuals who may be interested in advertising or investing with us to help redevelop the Clubhouse.
Project Director
Appointed Brian Heffernan to act as our project director for the overall clubhouse redevelopment project.
Making our Clubhouse Green (and white!)
Submitted an application to the LIDL Green Fund that awards donations to community based organisations that are investing in the environmental efforts. Sincere thanks to Michaela Francis for her dedication to completing this. In addition, the club has installed a RE-TURN plastic bottle bank facility where all proceeds will be invested in the clubs further environmental facilities. Our long term aim is for the club to be as sustainable as possible where we can install solar panels and water harvesting facilities on site. The clubhouse when redeveloped will have a sedum garden roof which is pollinator friendly.
